Warren Sneed: Press

Sneed, who is the director of the jazz program at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, is one of the best jazz musicians in Houston. And so is Joe LoCascio. Their music made the evening.

"The Late Show, a duo project by pianist Joe LoCascio and saxophonist Warren Sneed, is a lovely and interesting work. The originals are fresh, and the standards are re-worked beautifully. The playing is extremely interesting, and, to my ears, Joe and Warren are so attuned to each other as to have a bit of telepathy going on between them. This is an excellent CD that any serious music listener will enjoy."

These two venerable artists characterize the culture of jazz in Texas with their spirited, soulful playing and exquisite compositional talents. Musical partners for over two decades, Joe and Warren join forces on "The Late Show" with the ease of two friends chatting over a glass of wine. A superlative release.
